As I laid on the massage table, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. I had never tried massage therapy before but there I was, going to school for massage in search of a way to heal my body naturally. Suffering chronic stress and pain, massage therapy opened my eyes. I realized that massage therapy was so much more than just a physical treatment. It is an emotional and spiritual experience that allowed me to connect with my body and myself on a deeper level.
So, what happens during a massage that makes it so powerful and transformative??? Well!! Research shows that massage therapy can:

My Journey as a Massage Therapist
Since I've graduated from school. I have taken a number of classes to learn different techniques, from Swedish to deep tissue to cupping and thai massage. Each of them has its own unique benefits, but I love mixing them into my massage routine and customizing my clients' treatment to see what works best for them. It has also become a regular part of my self-care routine.
